Insurance for our motorbike

Hubby got his motorbike three years ago as company’s payment for his unpaid vacation leaves. I was hesitant to have that motorbike at home because I don’t want hubby to drive it to work. You know how unsafe our public roads for motorbike drivers especially at night. He passes Commonwealth Avenue everyday. And you know that Commonwealth Avenue is accident prone especially for motorbike riders.

For a while, I allow hubby to drive the vehicle. But on his own, he decided not to bring the motorbike anymore because he thought it’s more convenient to ride a bus or Fx on his way home. Imagine he can sleep or relax listening to his mp3 while traveling.

We use our motorbike these days as our service in going to the market and run errands. Just last Holy Friday, we used it to visit La Mesa Eco Park to save for transportation fare. Our motorbike has been a great help to us, but we haven’t applied for any insurance especially HVG insurance for it. Speaking of insurance, hubby and I are planning to look for cost-effective insurance plans for the whole family. Our experience with the hospitalization of our son taught us the importance of health insurance.

He won our first desktop in a trade show

Husband got our first desktop and printer from a raffle during a 1996 trade show in Makati. We were starting a family and buying a new desktop was not a priority so we were ecstatic when hubby brought home the brand new computer and printer.

The desktop behind my husband was the same computer that he won during a trade show in Makati in 1996.

Hubby said the computer trade show attended by luminaries in the IT industry features the different computers and laptops and other cool gadgets.

The trade shows are primarily conducted to show the latest gadget to dominate the market. Trade shows encourage people to buy the product and help manufacturers increase their sales.

Aside from the cool stuff displayed in the trade fair, trade show organizers ensure to make the event site presentable to guests by using state-of-the-art trade show displays, truss, logo floor mats, and exhibit booths.

Usherettes or receptionists would give away colorful handouts about the different products presented in the trade show; some hand out ball pens and other souvenir in the event. They also conduct raffle activity as crowd drawer.

Some trade shows, trade fairs, bazaars and exhibit are held during Christmas season to support important causes and institutions. Products sold here are usually cheaper compared to the regular prize in the market. People usually support this kind of activity for a good cause.

Company outing at the Caribbean

Employees are looking forward to company outing every summer. Some companies hold an annual outing for their staff as a treat for all their hard work. Others conduct seminars and trainings out of town to encourage the full cooperation of the team.Companies usually get all inclusive deals for these travels through sponsors.

Speaking of sponsored trips, have you tried suggesting to your boss an out-of-the country travel, say a cruise in the Caribbean as part of vacation package deals? I’m sure your boss will agree on the condition that you will pay for your travel expenses. Dare? LOL.
