Movies Galore

Now that school has ended my kids are looking for ways to while away the time. Aside from spending time browsing the Net, they enjoy watching VCDs and DVDs at the moment. When we go to the mall, the kids would check out VCD and DVD movies on sale. Sometimes we are lucky to find blockbuster movies arranged on sale rack. My kids especially my daughter is fond of watching old movies that were popular in the 1990s. One time we were at Video City for DVD hunting (again), I overheard this young couple who are looking for skullcandy, I thought they were looking for “candies”. It turned out they are looking for earphones as the sale representative gave the couple a set of earphones similar to the picture below. The kids and I had a good laugh after that incident. 😀

We left the music store (still laughing) with a copy of Rainman (a Dustin Hoffman and Tom Cruise starrer) and a couple of suspense movies for my son.

Official start of summer vacation

No more waking up early beginning next week. Yay! The kids had their last day of school yesterday, so today marks the official end of school year for my kids and the first day of the most anticipated summer vacation. 🙂

But before we really set our mind on exciting summer activities, we’re still expecting some good news from the school’s admin office on Monday to inform us if one of the kids qualifies to receive an award or certificate of appreciation for their performance this school year.

I’m keeping my fingers crossed even if I knew my daughter did her best to get a good grade this year despite being absent for several days due to sickness.  Well, we’ll just have to wait and see.  🙂

Talentadong Pinoy 2011 Grand Winner – Joseph the Artist

This guy’s amazing talent made me teary-eyed. He was able to tell a story using sand art. Watch the video and see why he was adjudged as this year’s Talentadong Pinoy Grand Winer. Galing ng Pinoy!

Joseph the Artist was awarded P1million cash (tax free), a four-year college grant, a brand new car (Chevrolet), and the chance to represent the country to the World Championship of Performing Arts.

Congratulations!
