Scouting movement

The kids are asking permission from me and hubby to participate in the school scouting movement. This is the first time that their school will convene a scouting activity as part of student co-curricular activities.

Hubby and I want our kids to enhance their socialization skills so that this new activity is a welcome development for the kids. The activity aims to develop leadership skills and brotherhood among them.

My daughter said the school plans to hold a camping activity, but there is no definite schedule and place yet as to where the camping will be held. I hope itâ€™s not somewhere far (like forest area) where hunting tree stands are seen. I canâ€™t bear the thought of allowing my kids to be on their own in a remote place just yet.

Looking for drawing table

I badly need a drawing table for my kids. It should also serve as their study table. They are using an old computer table at the moment, but itâ€™s too small to accommodate their school books and other items while studying. My daughter needs a drawing table to avoid stooping down while doing her homework or sketching. The drawing table need not spacious to have a room for 5.1 speakers, but a space enough to hold extra books and stuff.

Cave Art

My daughter used to spend so much time drawing and painting, but since classes began last month she rarely draw to relax. She has done two drawings but for school project purposes. This is called cave art or doodling of Paleolithic men and women (source). She downloaded a copy of this from the internet and drew it approximately as it looks only much larger. I donâ€™t need to use symbol barcode scanner to see the details and color shadings. She used water color to achieve the earth color tone.

The project was submitted this morning and she received praises from her teacher and classmates. She was happy to hear the compliment.
