The fruit of their labor

The kids are doing okay in school. I’ve witnessed how my daughter struggle to maintain her scholarship. She got 3.12 in final grades which is equivalent to superior. She said she will try her best to maintain or exceed her previous achievement for the second term.

My son, on the other hand, received this recognition from his adviser.  Job well done kids. We are so proud of you both. With your determination I believe that both of you can reach your individual goals someday.

Dedicated student

My daughter no longer needs to be told what to do during school days. Such a trait I always admire in her. She divides her time with her assignments, but at the same time, knows when to relax. Relaxing for this young lady means listening to her favorite songs from her MP3 player for long hours, in fact, she’s sleeping with those earphones (which I don’t really approve of).

To show our daughter how much we appreciate her and her dedication to her studies, hubby and I, try in every way we can to have the things that she needs. Last summer, we bought her a second-hand laptop so she can make her assignments and projects without being interrupted. The family shares one computer after my laptop gave up on me last year. The young lady was grateful that she has her own laptop. It’s not the high-end brand, but functions perfectly well.

For hubby and me, our children are the best gifts that we have ever received and as much as we can, we provide for them to the best of our abilities, or at least, the best that our hard-earned money can afford us.

Midterm Grade for 1st School Year 2013 – 2014

I received my daughter’s Midterm Grade Report sent thru email by the college registrar. The report summarizes my daughter’s individual course performance for the Midterm period July 18 – 20, 2013. The registrar said that their gesture of informing us (parents) of our daughter’s performance will help us monitor her academic progress. So far, my daughter got very good (GPA) grade (of 3.08). Had it not for her barely passing grade in college algebra (for ITE), her GPA would have been superior. She’s been studying hard and promised to do better in math.

It will be their final exams in a few weeks. I have yet to pay for the remaining balance of her tuition and might really need the help of merchant cash advance companies.
