Sister’s Week

My good friend Clarissa of Kizuna gave this tag to me. Thank you! It always feels good to be remembered by someone like her. Thanks for your thoughts, Clang!
Start copying here:

Be the kind of women that when your feet hit the floor each morning,
The devil says “Oh Crap, She’s Up.”
Sister, life is too short to wake up with regrets.
So love the people who treat you right.
Love the ones who don’t just because you can.
Believe in everything happens for a reason.
If you get a second chance, grab it with both hands.
If it changes your life, let it.
Kiss slowly. Forgive quickly.
God never said life would be easy.
He just promise it would be worth it.
Today is sister’s day.

To the cool women that have touched my life.
this is for you…..LOVE U!!!

Tag all your sisters, mothers, daughters, aunts, girlfriends,
including me if I am like one. If you get tag back seven times, you are loved.

It’s really difficult to choose from so many friends in the blogosphere. Why not share this to all mommies, (including Clang who gave this to me) and ladies I’ve known in the last seven months since I’ve started Mom writes for a cause and now Yam’s Files. Feel free to grab the tag anytime, sistah! =)

Download your favorite music videos and earn

I can’t believe it, is it for real? I can download my favorite music videos all I want and get paid for it ? Wow! I don’t buy it at first but when I check out I finally believe its true. MissUpload provides users with up to 5000 MB of storage. It offers online storage/remote backup capacity and sophisticated uploading and downloading tools. File sharing is not limited to data or music video, I can share and request my friends photos of our recent meet up or get-away. The free upload file only implements certain rules against disseminating materials containing pornography, nudity, sexual images, any kinds of offensive stuff and copyrighted material. I heard that aside from the large space allotted to subscribers, patrons may also earn from a reward system whereby online activity is redeemable for cash. Users who reach 1000 unique downloads are rewarded $10 that is paid using PayPal.

A young street educator named Efren Penaflorida

My positive nugget for this week is no less than the man who is currently making waves in the international scene not as a glitzy performer that every girls and boys are going gaga, but a man of good deed. A simple man from the Philippines who grants every poor kid’s wish to read and write. For the last 12 years Efren is visible in the streets along with his group of teen volunteers who taught basic reading and writing to children who made the streets their home.

Armed with a pushcart, yes a lowly pushcart, Efren’s team gives a different meaning to providing an education in an unconventional places like cemetery and dump sites. The pushcart contains stock of books, pens, tables and chairs.

Efren’s story of greatness is featured at CNN’s Top 10 Heroes (Ordinary People Extraordinary Impact) for 2009. Let’s vote for the country’s pride. Read more about him and cast your vote. Thanks!
